Our mission
Our mission is to champion washable, reusable, guilt-free care products. We are committed to drastically reducing single-use plastics in both our products and our packaging. We rigorously evaluate our practices and partner with responsible suppliers who are equally dedicated to our vision of minimising waste and eliminating harmful chemicals.
Reducing waste
In the UK, the disposal of single-use menstrual products contributes significantly to waste, amounting to approximately 200,000 tonnes each year.
Whilst it is estimated that approximately 3 billion disposable nappies and incontinence pads are discarded annually.
Many disposables are produced with a range of chemicals, which may act as irritants, allergens, or potentially harmful agents. Alarmingly, approximately 90% of single-use sanitary products contain plastic - roughly the equivalent to 4 carrier bags. According to the Life Cycle Initiative, these can take up to 500 years to break down in landfills releasing toxic chemicals.
